Exploring at the Intersection of Design, Art and Business

Explorer of possibility & designer of my own ritual. That’s what my Twitter profile says.

I was invited to be interviewed by Local Art Plug (Omaha, Xavier Jackson) so I thought I’d work up some notes to organize my thoughts. That’s basically what you are going to be reading, plus there is a bunch of links (portals).

A selection of thumbnail images from “Art is a Product” (3/19/2015)

So who am I? My name is Luke Amstrong (sometimes LucLuke or technically Luke Armstrong). I explore curiosity, make things, can be hired (design services) but prefer to work with autonomy at a slow deliberate pace exploring the ideas that seem most important to me.

I like to work for guilt free, wins-all-around circumstances and I most certainly believe we don’t live in a zero sum universe. An action can compound in force, but it isn’t likely or easy. It’s easier when it’s within your sphere of influence (self). Being resourceful and inventive are wonderful bonus characteristics for an explorer.

Generally interested in exploring (wide and deep)

  • Deep collaboration
  • Open communication practices
  • Self-discovery practices
  • Design practices
